Only Users defined as System Admins, or Full Users with module Admin roles assigned, can access the Main Form Definition. Click on the Cogwheel icon at the top right of the screen in any opened record to access the Form Definition.
Right click on the desired field you wish to edit and select Field Properties from the drop down menu.
In the Field Properties window you can edit the data associated with the field. The general tab contains editable properties available to all custom, and some system, fields in the application.
- You can change the width of the field by either using the arrow buttons or by entering a number.
- The Title Key/Text field refers to what the field’s label on the form will be. If the radio button is set to Default it will not be editable.
- The Show Hint radio buttons will all add a Hint message to responding locations based on what is selected.
- Tooltip will load a blue circle icon with a lower case “i” that will show the hint message when hovered over. Beside field and In Field will have the same hint message but either inside or beside the field.
The Editor properties tab will contain editable properties depending on the data type of the field.
Once your edits have been applied, press the floppy disk icon to save your changes.
